FotoFlite Online Privacy and Security Policy

You can view our website without any personal information being gathered about you.  If you decide to purchase from us then we ask that you provide us with some personal information including your name, address, and contact details. This is required for the purposes of processing your order. For security and anti-fraud reasons the ip address of the connection you used to register is also stored with your customer record. This account information is retained which means that when you place subsequent orders your details will come up automatically avoiding the need for you to re-enter them each time.

You will also be able to log in to the site at any time to view the status of your orders, or print off copies of your orders and invoices.

We do not store your credit card details. Any credit card or debit card payment will be made through the secure payment system provided by Paypal. All credit card transactions are handled on their secure server, not on our site.

We recognize that your personal information should be protected and we only share your information with third parties that have a need to know, such as those processing our data, or as a result of any statutory or legal obligations. We will not share any personal information, or pass or sell it to any other third party.

Email

If you register with us then we may from time to time email you with information about changes to our products or special offers and promotions.  We do understand the nuisance that spam brings and so we will not overwhelm you with constant E-mail marketing.

Copies of any e-mail messages you send us may be stored on our computer systems and those of our web hosting and email service providers. We will never pass any personal information provided in any communication to any one else.

Website Tracking Information and Cookies

Whenever you use a website a lot of information is gathered by the statistical software which resides on the server and monitors traffic patterns and site use.  This collects and aggregates information on how people have found the site, which pages they have visited, which page they exit from and so on, but no personal information is gathered as a result of this activity.

Our website uses cookies to control certain site functionality. A cookie is a small data file, stored on the visitor’s computer which identifies the computer to the site and can be used to control access to certain sections and pages.

These cookie files do not store any personal information that could be used to identify any particular user; when you access the site, a “token” with an encrypted session id code is passed to your computer. This token then controls your access to the site for that session, and is deleted once you close your browser or log off from the site, unless you have selected the “Remember Me” option when registering, in which case the cookie token will be stored on your computer and will be read by the site each time you return.

Cookies are an essential part of the site delivery system, and you will not be able to use our site without cookies enabled.

For full details of our cookie policy, please see our Cookie Policy

Linked Websites

Our website contains links to other websites which are not under our control, and are not covered by this policy. If you access other sites using the links provided, the operators of these sites may collect information from you which will be processed by them in accordance with their own privacy policies, which may differ from ours.

General Site Security

We take site security very seriously, and we are committed to taking all steps necessary to protect any personal information stored in our databases against unauthorised access. Our site is hosted on a server protected by the latest security software. Both the server operating systems and content management systems are fully maintained, and always updated to the most recent software level to minimise any likelihood of unauthorised access.

You as a user, also have a part to play in maintaining the security of your personal information by following some simple rules when registering:

•    Don’t use a username and password that would be easy to guess
•    If possible, use a username and/or password that is not a real word
•    Use a long password (8 or more characters) rather than a short one
•    Use a password containing letters and numbers
•    Use a username and/or password with a mixture of capitals and lower case letters
•    Don’t pass your log in details to anybody else

Following these guidelines will make it very difficult, if not impossible, for anyone else to access your user account with us. If you have any questions about the security or privacy of your personal information, please contact us.

You have a statutory right to access the personal data that is held about you by us. To obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you, please write to us at the address on our website. For reasons of data security we cannot accept e-mail requests for details of personal information.
